What tax preparation software works with ATOM?
ATOM customers use all of the leading tax preparation software, and have successfully co-joined ATOM with Drake, Taxwise, Pro-Series, ATX, Crosslink and several other leading brands.
Does ATOM provide responsive customer support?
Your ATOM purchase includes a 120-page manual that details all functions. You can also find a comprehensive set of online tutorials on this website. If these resources don't answer your questions, specialized ATOM training is available, either in person or by phone. We are always available to assist you and help you fully utilize all of ATOM's cost and time saving functions.
How does ATOM more efficiently run multiple office locations?
That's part of the beauty of ATOM. ATOM is a web application - not software that is installed on your machine. ATOM users can log in from any location, but all records are stored in a centralized database on the web.
Can I import my existing client records into ATOM?
Yes, this is a very simple process as long as ATOM is compatible with your tax software.
What does full integration with my tax software mean?
Data sharing. To prevent data duplication, ATOM shares the client data that you have already entered into your tax preparation software. ATOM pulls data such as client name, mailing address, phone numbers, e-file information, and RAL bank information directly from your tax software. By integrating ATOM with your tax software program, all your client data will be centralized, rather than spread across multiple software applications.
How do I ensure the accuracy of log-in and out times of my employees?
ATOM comes equipped with a report that identifies the location from which users log in, so you can easily identify if someone logged in or punched in from outside your office.
How does ATOM's referral function better manage my business?
Word of mouth is the best advertisement. The referral program encourages your customers to tell their friends, co-workers, and family members about your services. You designate an amount that each referral is worth. When a referred customer makes an appointment, their referrer is tagged in the system. Once the new customer has paid, ATOM automatically generates a thank you letter for the referrer.
Other functions of the referral system prohibit the payment of referral fees to customers who have an outstanding balance with you. If this occurs, the value of the referral fee is deducted from their amount owed.
What are the minimum system requirements for my computer to run ATOM?
Internet access, Internet Explorer 7.0 or higher, and at least 960 MB of memory.
Do I have to add any additional software to my server?
No, all software is stored in a centralized database stored on the web. Spartan should have more information on this.
What kind of scanner do you recommend?
We recommend a quality, high-speed scanner such as the Fujitsu ScanSnap. Scanning speed is critical in transitioning to a paperless office, so you should purchase a scanner designed for business use. We also recommend that your scanner be equipped with an automatic document feeder (ADF), as ATOM will allow you to scan multiple pages and documents at once.
